Regarding Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) compliancy, technically our unflavored, grass-fed/finished beef protein isolate fits the bill. It is made from the flesh covered bones, joints, and tendons of grass-fed and grass-finished cattle without the use of any milk product and is therefore 100% dairy-free, and does not contain any whey or casein. The manufacturing process is kind of like making bone broth and then the protein is isolated and powderized without any chemical extractions and instead using water. The hydrolysis process of our protein results in naturally occurring collagen from the native proteins.
Because it only contains one ingredient (beef isolate), this type of protein powder is suitable for those following the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet, as it avoids potential trigger foods and is gentle on the digestive system. We also sell sample packs of all of our protein options if you’re interested in trying before committing to a 2lb bag.
The plant-based vegan protein we offer is derived from the chocho or lupini bean. They are considered paleo-friendly but are not typically included in the standard Autoimmune Protocol diet. Chocho beans are generally accepted as paleo-friendly because they are the only bean with no sugar; they lack the compounds present in other legumes that can cause GI upset; and recent discoveries of legume starch granules on Neanderthal teeth have led to some beans, including the chocho to be considered paleo-appropriate.
The flavored (Chocolate/Vanilla) plant-based and grass-fed/finished beef protein isolate contain monk fruit and either organic cacao powder sourced from Belgium, or organic vanilla bean sourced from Madagascar.
All of that being said, we always suggest that you work directly with your medical provider/healthcare practitioner directly for any specific questions about your health journey.
