Thank you so much for reaching out and asking such a thoughtful question.
Why Magnesium Can Cause Loose Stools
Magnesium pulls water into the intestines, which can soften stools and, in some cases, lead to diarrhea. This effect varies from person to person and depends on the type of magnesium, the dosage, and individual sensitivity.
You are welcome to start with all 3 capsules right away, but if you have a tendency toward or experience loose stools from the supplement, we recommend working up to a full serving by taking 1 capsule/night for the first few nights, then 2/night for a few more nights and eventually incorporating all 3 for your evening serving.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help your body process the magnesium and prevent dehydration if you do experience loose stools.
Our Supplement ingredients contain the following: Magnesium Blend (magnesium chelate, bisglycinate, citrate, and sucrosomial), GABA, L-Theanine, and Vitamin B6.*
- *GABA, L-theanine, and vitamin B6 are ingredients that may help with relaxation, mood, and
sleep. - *Magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride, which are not found in the BWBK Magnesium Supplement, are more likely to cause diarrhea
Consult Your Doctor: If loose stools persist or are severe, talk to your doctor. They can assess whether magnesium is the right supplement for you and rule out any other underlying causes of your digestive issues. They may also recommend alternative ways to increase your magnesium levels, such as through diet.
